As chief financial officer of Chappellet Winery and Vineyard, one of Napa Valley’s legacy family-owned wineries, Christine Ha is responsible for the short-term financial success of the storied estate and ensuring its legacy for generations to come. Christine’s professional career started in San Francisco as a certified public accountant for KPMG with a focus on financial service companies. Christine moved to Napa in 2010, where she joined Blackbird Vineyards and Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley, a wine and art collective in Yountville, as the controller. In 2012, she took the opportunity to work for one of the largest global vineyard asset management companies, then called Silverado Premium Properties and Silverado Winegrowers (“Silverado”), with more than 20,000 vineyard acres that it acquires, develops, and manages for the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) and other institutional investors. She spent more than eight years at Silverado and concluded her tenure there as the senior vice president of finance before starting as the CFO of Chappellet Winery and Vineyard in 2020.
Christine enjoys being involved in the Napa Valley wine community through her role on the Napa Valley Grapegrowers Finance Committee and women-focused professional organizations, such as Wine Women Finance Forum, Women for WineSense, and CHIEF. As a member of the Napa Valley Vintners Grants Review Committee, which is responsible for the oversight and distribution of funds raised by the Napa Valley Vintners Association to vetted nonprofits, Christine is able to champion underrepresented organizations and causes.
Christine lives in Napa with her husband, who is also in the wine industry, and their two young daughters. She enjoys traveling to exotic places, learning about different cultures, and spending time with her family.
