There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding wine and health: from low- to no-, “natural,” vegan, and organic, the ever-growing list of terms and styles has caused confusion among consumers. How do we talk about wine in a way that is both legal, moral, and accurate? Will new nutritional labelling requirements show consumers that there aren’t as many calories or sugar as possible in wine, and make a difference in driving sales? Will regulating terms like “natural” do the same?
